NEW YORK - May 25, 2022 - PRLog -- "Dracula" was published in May 26 1897  in a first print run of 3,000 copies, but received rather mixed reviews. But the novel has since been translated into 44 languages and sold millions of copies around the world.

Sales really began to take off after the scandal generated by the appearance of 1922 feature Nosferatu. The German movie was a success that propelled the vampire myth to the forefront of popular culture. Stoker's widow Florence sues the Germans as thy did not have copyright to adapt the novel for the movie. This scandal generated a huge popularity for Dracula novel. The justice forced the Germans to destroy every copy. A copy escaped and it can now be seen free on the internet.

Dracula is now said to be the most filmed character in history.

"Dracula" the novel has since been translated into 44 languages and sold millions of copies around the world.

The novel is taking place both in Transylvania and England.

125 years after publishing the novel Bram Stoker has a statue erected in Transylvania in front of the Dracula Hotel from Borgo Pass as a thank you note from the people from Transylvania that are benefiting from tourism generated by his novel.

Transylvania Live, a tour operator specialized in Dracula Tours is now celebrating the novel anniversary by organizing a 7 day Dracula themed tour of Transylvania with 3 Halloween Parties included.

This week-long tour for the fans of Bram Stoker's Dracula includes Dracula themed accommodation and visits to Sighisoara Citadel, the place in which once Vlad the Impaler lived, Snagov Monastery with its tomb of the infamous ruler as well as Brasov and Sibiu the most beautiful Saxon cities from Transylvania and the famous Turda Salt Mine.

There is a Halloween party at Bran Castle aka Dracula's Castle from Transylvania, a Halloween party in a dungeon from Sighisoara citadel, Dracula's birthplace and a third Vampire themed Halloween party.
The parties include various contests, magicians show, Vampire weddings shows and give the tour goers the chance to participate actively in the Ritual Killing of a Living Dead, a happening that was also featured on Travel Channel based on Transylvanian burial traditions.
The tour is half board and for tour goers it is for free with certain conditions, namely if you don't have a reflection in the mirror, you decompose when sunlight strikes you, or you are over 200 years old. Otherwise, is 1299 €.
