According to the skills of SDETs, they can perform the automation test for repetitive tasks using Automation Testing Tools. Whereas, Software testers and QA Auditors possess little skills in automation and thus, we can't expect their participation in the development of Test Automation Tool.
  • Professional Responsibilities

A SDETs are involved with comprehensive responsibilities than normal testers. SDETs are involved in the following processes.
  • security testing,
  • test environment setup,
  • performance testing,
  • automation of scenarios,
  • Development of test automation tools and so on.

Meanwhile software testers and QA Auditors are involved with the testing the functionalities of applications.
