Preventia Announces Dr. Mark Pettus as New Chief Medical Officer

INDIANAPOLIS - May 23, 2022 - PRLog -- The virtual-first lifestyle-based care technology platform Preventia has announced Dr. Mark Pettus as its first Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Pettus will focus on several critical areas for the technology start-up, including health services best practices, innovation support, and partnership development. For more than three decades, Dr. Pettus has combined his expertise as a triple-board certified practitioner (Internist, Nephrologist, and Integrative Medicine) in leadership roles in Medical Education, Population Health, and Wellness Innovation.

Dr. Pettus is the former Director of Wellness, Population Health, and Community Care at Berkshire Health Systems in western Massachusetts. He is also the former Director of Medical Education at Berkshire Health Systems and was a previous Associate Dean of Medical Education at The University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he continues to serve as an Associate Professor of Medicine faculty member. He is an author, teaching faculty for The Center for Mind-Body Medicine as well as The Meditation Institute and hosts the podcast The Health Edge. Dr. Pettus has a gifted ability to translate very complex scientific and medical subjects into easily understandable and actionable recommendations, which is why he is often sought out by the media and other speaking opportunities.
