Follow on Google News | Bosco Tech to Host Commencement Exercises on June 4This year's graduation keynote speaker is Dr. Richard Eric Madrid. A 1990 graduate of Bosco Tech's Drafting and Design program, Dr. Madrid is a primary care physician with South Riverside County's Rancho Family Medical, affiliated with UC San Diego Health Physician Network. He serves as Assistant Program Director of Loma Linda University Murrieta Family Medicine Residency Program. Graduating seniors Brenton Dunn and Aman Kumar will serve as co-valedictorians. Dunn will attend UC San Diego and Kumar will attend USC this fall; both plan to major in Computer Science. Class salutatorian Angel Patricio will attend MIT, majoring in Mathematics. "We're incredibly proud of the graduating class of '22," said Tech President Memo Gutierrez. "These hard working young men have excelled in their studies, extracurricular activities, and athletic endeavors. They have earned acceptance, and in many cases, generous scholarships, to colleges and universities across the country. One hundred percent of the class will be pursuing higher education this fall." The only Catholic applied science high school of its kind in the U.S., Bosco Tech uniquely combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with STEM-based studies. The innovative approach allows students to exceed university admissions requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in one of six technology and engineering fields, including the newest program, Biological, Medical and Environmental Technology. Bosco Tech has a college acceptance rate of 100 percent, with the majority of graduates pursuing STEM-related post-secondary majors.
