Bavarian Inn Restaurant hosts bourbon & cigar night
By: Bavarian Inn
The event, which could make a perfect Father's Day (June 19) gift, features a four-course meal accompanied by a variety of cocktails made with Maker's Mark bourbons and a cigar to wrap up the night.
Leading off will be an appetizer of a smoked pork tamale with grilled pineapple and mango salsa along with Maker's Mark Gold Rush. Next is a cherry kale crunch salad with bacon burnt ends accompanied by Maker's Mark Spritz.
For the main course guests will enjoy a bourbon and hot honey glazed brisket with grilled zucchini, summer squash and wild mushroom risotto. This will be served with Maker's Mark Bourbon Renewal.
A Maker's Mark Espresso Martini will accompany a special bourbon mousse tartlet for dessert.
After the meal guests will finish the evening listening to the jazz sounds of the "In the Blue" band out in the Fischer Platz outside of the restaurant and get to try Maker's 101 and a cigar provided by Ashes & Ales.
The cost is $125 per person and includes the meal, listed bourbons, cigar and tax and gratuity. Reservations and pre-payment are required. To reserve go to bavarianinn.com/
Two years ago the Bavarian Inn created a Private Select Bourbon with Maker's Mark, and more recently added the "Matriarch Legacy 100" bourbon honoring the Bavarian Inn Zehnder family's long-time matriarch, Dorothy Zehnder.
Families can make Father's Day weekend complete by adding an overnight or weekend stay at the Bavarian Lodge.
