Provision Packs to Hold Fundraiser at Mimi's Original Art May 25

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - May 17, 2022 - PRLog -- Provision Packs founder and CEO Carrie Torres is pleased to announce that the 501(c)3 organization is hosting 'A Night of Jazz and Wine' fundraiser on May 25th from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The event is open to the public and will be held at Mimi's Original Art, 1385 N. US 1, Ormond Beach. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to execoffice@srperrott.com.

"We encourage attendees to sip, shop and support," said CEO Carrie Torres. "A percentage of sales will benefit Provision Packs in our effort to close the gap on childhood hunger in our community," Carrie added.

Mimi's Original Art is owned by Michele P. Connors (Mimi) – who also serves as the president of S.R. Perrott. The shop also carries greeting cards, coasters, towels, pillows, prints, a fashion line, fine jewelry and more. All items feature original artwork by Mimi and nearly 20 other local artists.

Since 2015 Provision Packs has provided well rounded nutritional food for children on the weekend and extended breaks during the school year. In 2020 we continued to supply food during the COVID pandemic and we are currently working with 15 schools and have grown our weekly distribution from 280 children per week to 650 children per week. These children are often reliant on the free and reduced lunch program at their school for their daily sustenance and nutrition. Our goal, through these packs, is to offer support and to relieve some of the burdens for both the parents and the children. Most importantly, we hope that these packs provide the blessing of nutrition and bring comfort to the children in our community so that our youth can focus on their academics and become healthy, successful thriving adults.
