The Nurses' March Hosts a Social Swag & Grab Welcome Event and Announces Sponsors & March LineUp

25,000 Nurses will assemble at the Washington Monument to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Nurses, commemorate the fallen from Covid-19, and advocate for better workplace conditions for nurses everywhere.
 
WASHINGTON - May 10, 2022 - PRLog -- The Nurses' March will kick off with an inaugural event, "A Social Swag & Grab", reception welcoming the 25,000 nurses that have registered to attend the march. The reception will be held May 11, 2022 at the Renaissance Marriott Hotel 999 9th NW Washington D.C. from 6pm-9pm. The march will be the following morning on May 12, 2022 at 10am-2pm on the grounds of the Washington Monument. The program will open with the National Anthem sung by Stellar Award Nominated Gospel Artist Choir Boi Cam. Other featured talent are Artists Joshua Strickland, Dawn Lunsford, the Anointed Henry Sisters backed by the Keynotes Gospel Quartet Band. A presentation to the families that have lost a caregiver will also take place.  Featured speakers will include Rebecca Love, the Executive Team of the Nurses' March, special industry VIP, government officials  and a special message from Grammy Award Winning Singer/Songwriter Jason Mraz.

The Nurses March aims to peacefully unite nurse voices and promote change on a national level, encouraging fair, realistic wages — including no caps, safe staffing, prevention of violence against healthcare workers, and the elimination of bias and discrimination in the industry. Nurse.com will be supporting the event with a donation and will be represented on stage at the march by ambassador Trish Richardson, MSN, BSBA, RN, NE-BC, CMSRN, Director, Post-Acute Care Solutions at Relias; and Cara Lunsford, RN, Vice President, Community at Nurse.com, who will announce new efforts from Nurse.com and Holliblu to foster a community dedicated to empowering and connecting nurses.
