Credit Union Reaches Milestone in Helping Downriver Businesses
To mark this special occasion, the speaker for this event will be internationally-
Michael was one of the earliest speakers in the series, with his first appearance being in 2009 when he spoke on the topic of "Being the Best." Since then, there has been a diverse line-up of speakers and a variety of topics, such as Billye Thompson, "Build Your Business Using LinkedIn"; Kurt David,"Face Change Like a Champion"; Tom Borg, "How to Avoid Business Etiquette Blunders"; Josh Linkner, "Disciplined Dreaming: How to Drive Breakthrough Creativity"; Shawn Duperon, "Demystifying Media: The Real Scoop on How to Get Free Press & Publicity"; and many others.
For many years, the workshops were held in the "Center for Excellence" Hall at The Guidance Center. When the Credit Union started making plans to build a new Southgate Office, the decision was made to include a Community Room, which would be a multi-purpose room used for both Credit Union and community-oriented events, as well as by local community organizations such as the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber, Downriver Business Association, Southgate Rotary, Downriver Toastmasters, and others.
