Lt. Governor Candidate Renitta Shannon Garners Statewide attention After Atlanta Press Club DebateBy: Elect Renitta Shannon Shannon has always been an advocate for reproductive freedom and has demonstrated so by putting her body on the line to help expand postpartum Medicaid and protecting access to abortions through telemedicine during her tenure as a Georgia House Represenative. In both efforts, she and her caucus were successful. When asked about her stance on the Supreme Court's controversial decision, she firmly stated that "...access to Abortion is healthcare, and access to healthcare is life-saving." Governor is to work with environmental agencies and to move legislation to hold larger corporations accountable. She notes, "a lot of times on this issue, folks are asking individuals to solve the climate change issue; and while it's important that individuals do their part, what we really need is legislation on the books to really work to change what's going on with climate change."
