MINNEAPOLIS - May 5, 2022 - PRLog -- Meyers Printing is known as a national leader in branded packaging, product labeling, and retail in-store display solutions for corporations worldwide. As part of its growth, Meyers will be a proud member of the Climate Pledge alongside 300 other notable leading businesses such as Best Buy, Pepsi co., Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Quorn, and many more.

According to Chris Dillion, CEO of Meyers Printing, joining the climate pledge has helped the company move in the right direction regarding its efforts to battle climate change. These efforts leave not only the company with several benefits but will also be helpful towards the preservation of the environment.

Alternatively, Chief Revenue Officer for Meyers Printing, Michael Dillon, also highlights the importance of this pledge as pollution is becoming a very serious matter.

What it means for Meyers Printing to be part of the climate pledge

The pledge symbolizes the company's commitment toward the net-zero carbon goal needed to be met by 2040. It forms a cross-sector community between Meyers and the other companies involved, creating innovative solutions to fight against climate change. The pledge also covers concerns towards other related issues like the challenges of waste management and sustainability.

The climate pledge was co-founded in 2019 by Amazon and the Global Optimism company. Through this agreement, the founders call on their supporters to move towards a net-zero carbon goal across all enterprises. All names who have taken the pledge are expected to commit to three major areas of action.

The first involves regularly measuring and reporting the levels of greenhouse gas emissions present in their respective area.

The second focuses on making improvements in sustainable and decarbonizing strategies that are in line with the Paris Agreement. This can include making material switches to reduce waste, gaining a more significant focus on using renewable energy, and other plans to eliminate carbon emissions.

For the final area of focus, all corporations that have committed to the agreement should look for methods to fully neutralize any remaining emissions. This can be with any additional, real, quantifiable, permanent, and socially beneficial offsets that will allow the community to push towards the net-zero goal.
