Most specifically, Larkin has trained as a center and guard on the offensive line. Dwayne is an arena football veteran, having played for many different teams over the years. Larkin's size, strength, and experience were the factors the Predators took into consideration when making this decision. Dwayne will be a valued asset during his debut season with Jacksonville. "This opportunity the Orlando predators have given me is an outstanding one," said Larkin. "I am glad to be part of a great organization like this one, great fans and a loving environment as well. My goals are to have a winning season and to help bring Orlando a championship and to always better myself as an athlete." The Orlando Predators is a professional football team in the National Arena League (NAL). The Orlando Predators were originally a part of the American Football League (AFL) from 1991-2016, when they suspended operations. They were relaunched for the inaugural season of the NAL in 2019. The Predators play their home games at the Amway Center. Orlando struggled in their first season in the NAL, where they went 2-12. Unfortunately, they were not able to redeem themselves in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic causing the season to be canceled. When the NAL returned for their shortened 2021 season, the Predators qualified for the playoffs where they lost to the Columbus Lions. Jeff Higgins has been announced as the new head coach for the 2022 season and hopes to be able to bring home a NAL championship to Orlando. In 2021, National Arena League had active teams in Jacksonville, Florida; Columbus, Georgia; Greensboro, North Carolina; Orlando, Florida; Albany, New York; Trenton, New Jersey and Ontario, Canada. Before the shortened 2021 season began, Ontario went dormant leaving 6 active teams. Albany Empire, led by head coach Tom Menas, brought home the NAL championship in 2021.
