Honolulu-based Coworking Company Commits $200,000 to In-Kind Fund for the Community HONOLULU, HI (May 2, 2022) - Hub Coworking Hawai'i announces it's Back Together Fund to help revive the local economy and help local businesses and business people,. The $200,000 in-kind fund for 2022, will support and enable people to gather again for face-to-face events, meetings, and collaborations. Since 2017, Hub Coworking Hawaii or the Hub has awarded scholarships totalling over $300,000 to creatives, startups, entrepreneurs, and students. The $200,000 commitment for 2022 is a significant increase sparked by the need of the times. "After two years of COVID-19 and lock downs, we are all ready to get back together and get back to business. We just want to do our small part and offer our spaces to create a spark that will get our local economy back on fire again," said Nam Vu, cofounder of Hub Coworking Hawai'i. The fund is available to businesses, non-profits, individuals as well as students. There is an application process and acceptance is based on availability and alignment. Meetings and events should be professional or business related and not private personal parties or gatherings. "Although we call it a scholarship, the program is not only meant for students," said Vu. "We get requests all the time from non-profits or startups that want to hold an event or need a coworking membership." With a total of over 20,000 square feet of space across 2 locations, the Hub has several meeting rooms, and event spaces to accommodate a variety of gatherings. "We're really excited about our new location at the International Market Place in Waikīkī, " said Vu. "It's a beautiful space in the heart of one of the world's premiere vacation destinations. We've already had a few events there since we opened in March and look forward to many more."
