Popular Annapolis Royal Gift Store To Relaunch

ANNAPOLIS ROYAL, Nova Scotia - April 25, 2022 - PRLog -- Having been there since the construction of the building, Homebody was the brainchild of local entrepreneur and collector Susan Bell Baldwin. Having come from a decades-long career as a curator of beautiful things, she created an environment where locals and tourists alike could find exceptional quality and ethically sourced gifts from around the world, with a strong presence of local artisan goods and vintage as well.

Life is now joyously taking her in a different direction, but she didn't want to leave the town with an empty storefront. Enter the group behind Crown & Anchor: 2 families that met over breakfast while staying at the historic Bread & Roses Inn during their relocation to the area.

They grew close during their settling into their new homes in Granville Ferry & Allains Creek. Both families building a new life in the area included wanting to start a new business and they sought new opportunities together. Serendipity led them to Homebody on a shopping spree, and the rest is a lovely history in the making.

Crown & Anchor: Elevated Living was inspired by co founder Pierce Ivan, celebrating Annapolis Royal's rich history as 'The Cradle Of Our Nation,' something they intend to honour in their business development.

Cofounder Daniela Siggia said of the change, "Susan created such a beautiful foundation for us to build on. We will keep the things that are local favourites, and add a few bespoke additions that make it feel like our own. We are merely building on the amazing work she has already done curating a beautiful collection and successful business. We think she'll be proud of what we do with the place, knowing we share the same commitment to quality and integrity of inventory sourcing. She has been a great mentor to us through this transition."

The family team also includes business man Jim Wight, Nano material CEO & talk show host Paul Beasant and Daniela's mother Molly Favret who describes herself as 'the store's girl Friday'

The new brand Crown & Anchor (www.Crown-Anchor.ca) will officially launch in mid June.
