Balancing the program is the legendary lucious Clarinet Quintet by Johannes Brahms, a work he came out of retirement to compose. Bar open for purchased beverages. Not soon after stages were closed and we had to find new ways to make music. Fast forward to a year later, fall 2020, we ask Syrhea to write more music for us, this time for a virtual concert. She titled her new piece Silver Linings. We performed all of the music she'd written for us on a livestream from The Chapel without an in-person audience. But we knew this project wasn't complete. It needed to come full circle. We're thrilled to present the entire suite, with the final chapter of new music at The Contemporary Art Museum on May 18th!
