CompuCycle Launches New Program to Make E-waste Recycling Easier

CompuCycle has collaborated with school districts to place high-quality computer technology in classrooms for many years. This service makes it easy for distant businesses and small retail locations to transport company-owned electronic IT assets from all around the United States to a CompuCycle facility for safe and appropriate hard drive shredding.

With the start of the pandemic, many businesses found themselves in need of new methods to handle electronic waste disposal while working remotely: a trend that is expected to continue in the future. This innovative application proactively assists in the remote management of all devices at the end of their life cycle, recovering value while protecting client data.

The new program is simplified from start to end and provides clients with complete visibility into their distant IT assets. A prepaid label and packaging materials are delivered to the consumer, and devices are inventoried before being shipped to a CompuCycle facility, where they are professionally examined, recycled, or destroyed while data protection is maintained. The program not only helps to create a more sustainable product lifetime through recycling, but it also helps to prevent a company's financial loss from lost or never-returned gadgets, as well as complete data security and brand protection.
