Former Police Officer Wins Two Mach 1s Through the Mustang Dream Giveaway!

Ryan Burger, a Kentucky resident, is the grand-prize winner of a low-VIN 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and an extremely rare 1969 Mustang Mach 1 428 CJ! Also included in the grand-prize package was $35,000 towards the prize taxes and a bonus prize – an $8,500 gift certificate good for a Backyard Buddy car lift.

Mr. Burger made a donation to enter the Mustang Dream Giveaway on December 6, 2021, and that donation ended up landing him the winning ticket. "All the charities do such great work," he said. "Personally, I know that MADD has a special significance because of my years as a police officer. I know the devastating effects of alcohol."

On March 10, 2022, Mr. Burger received the congratulatory telephone call giving him the exciting news. "When I first got the call, I wasn't really thinking much because I was a little overwhelmed with emotion and a feeling of anxious anticipation in sharing the news with my family and friends," he said.  "It really didn't sink in until I walked into the garage and got to touch and feel the cars. When I got in the [2021 Mach 1] and drove away, it was a feeling of shock, excitement and a thrilling outlook for the future. Not only did I win two amazing vehicles, but I got a special opportunity to take a trip with my daughter to the award ceremony and then the road trip home. And now with the two cars, I have the opportunity to share fun trips and learning experiences with my family."

Mr. Burger worked as a law enforcement officer in California for 10 years before moving to Kentucky. He now works as a commercial-truck delivery driver.
