The Muse and the Marketplace, the annual literary conference put on by the nonprofit creative writing center GrubStreet, attracts over 800 writers and publishing professionals each year. Hybrid for the first time in 2022, the Muse will host more than 60 sessions about the craft and business of writing. These will be held in a virtual venue along with optional in-person gatherings and events in Boston.

Founded in 1970, the Editorial Freelancers Association is a national nonprofit professional organization with approximately 3,000 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields.

The EFA has garnered praise from publishing pros like Jane Friedman and Louise Harnby and is frequently listed as a valuable resource for authors on sites including Poets & Writers, BookBub, Publishers Weekly, Poynter, and the Chicago Manual of Style blog.
