LOS ANGELES - April 16, 2022 - PRLog -- Culture is such an important part of society, and in a diverse city such as Los Angeles, there are many cultures that come together to form an interesting melting pot. The Filipino-American community has a long history in Los Angeles and has contributed to the fields of art, business, and public service.

Rosalyn Kahn is a talk show host on Chow Entertainment. Her show, which airs every Tuesday from 11-11:30 a.m., is called "Living Your Best Life with Rosalyn Kahn." Kahn travels about the Los Angeles area and interviews guests of interesting background who have overcome obstacles to achieve great things. She has interviewed A-list celebrities and professionals of many backgrounds.

The 14th episode of "Living Your Best Life…" featured members of the Filipino-American community in different roles. First up, were Jim Dear and Arlene Rojas, two Filipino-American city council members for the Los Angeles suburb of Carson. They bring a strong desire to influence social change and resolve problems such as crime, homelessness, and food insecurity.

Up next, Kahn visited the LA Art Box, a gallery in Downtown Los Angeles founded by Filipino-American, Bernie Bernardo, who left corporate America to do something in the art space with her young adult son.

At the Art Box event, Kahn also interviewed Editor of the Hollywood Weekly Magazine, Giovanna Salas, and the artist of the day, Jeffrie, who created an exhibition based on his experience of suffering a heart attack at age 30.
