In response to this situation, Chestnut Mountain Village, a ministry of Chestnut Mountain Ranch, is holding the "All in Foster Care Summit" on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Morgantown, W.Va. The Summit invites church leaders, pastors, and those interested in how the church can help children and families to become part of a church-led foster care movement in the Mountain state. The Summit will feature prominent national and state leaders who will help attendees:
The All In Foster Care Summit will include topics, speakers, and panels discussing the foster/kinship care crisis, why churches should be involved, and how churches can help children and families in care. Summit featured speakers include:
"Throughout the nation, church communities are making foster and kinship care stronger," said Greg Clutter, Director of Foster Care for Chestnut Mountain Village. "Churches and faith-based organizations have developed some of the most innovative and effective programs for supporting and helping children and families in foster, kinship, and adoptive care. This movement is spreading throughout the U.S., and the goal of The Summit is to bring the movement to West Virginia." The "All In Foster Care Summit" will be held at Chestnut Ridge Church in Morgantown on May 18, 2022.
