IBEW Local 332 Announces Annual Clay Shoot on April 15 at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays

SAN JOSE, Calif. - April 12, 2022 - PRLog -- The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 332 announced today that its annual clay shoot will be held on April 15, 2022 at Coyote Valley Sporting Clays in Santa Clara County. Because of Covid-19 restrictions, this is the first time the IBEW Local 332 Sporting Clays event has been held in person since 2019.

Javier Casillas, President and Business Development Manager of IBEW Local 332, said some 160 members, spouses, and family members are registered to attend the sold-out clay shoot. Gates open for the event at 7:30 a.m. Shooting at the event begins at 9 a.m. and continues to noon, with a barbeque and raffle following the shooting activities.

The participants are organized into groups of 4-6 members, who travel from station to station on the shooting course, aiming at dish-shaped clay targets, which are projected into the air to be shot. Each shooter either brings a personal firearm or rents one from Reed's Sport Shop.

"Hitting a clay target isn't easy," said Casillas. "You have to be a good shooter and be steady and quick while you are aiming. Our members enjoy the event because it is competitive and tests their shooting skills. It's also a good brotherhood/sisterhood event."

The event is organized by an IBEW Local 332 Committee, The Building Unity Group (B.U.G.).
