Sales by Mahindra for March 2022 - XUV700, Thar, Bolero, Scorpio

CHANDIGARH, India - April 12, 2022 - PRLog -- SUV sales at Mahindra boosted Mahindra's sales by 65 percent. The major contributors to its sales are Thar and the new XUV700. In particular, its utility vehicles, including the XUV700, Thar, Bolero, and Scorpio, have seen high demand.

The three best-selling automakers in India in March 2022 were Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Tata Motors. There is a strong demand for the XUV700. In March 2022, the company's passenger vehicle sales amounted to 27,603 units, an increase of 67 percent over the 16,700 units sold in March 2021.

The number of cars and vans sold in March 2021 increased by 291 percent over the number of 57 units sold in March 2021. Mahindra's YTD sales for the year as of March 2022 were 2,25,895 units, a 44 percent increase over the 1,57,216 units in the same period last year.

The company sold 27,380 utility vehicles. The total exports in March 2022 reached 3,160 units (PV and CV), a 49 percent increase over February 2021's 2,126 units. In FY 2021, 18,381 units were exported. YTD, 32,510 units were exported, up 77 percent from 18,381 units in FY 2020.

The Bolero, XUV700, Thar, Scorpio, and XUV300 are some of Mahindra's best-selling models. In March 2022, LCV sales in the sub-2 T segment totaled 3,806 units, an increase of 132 over the 1,641 units sold in March 2021.

The number of units sold in FY22 increased by 36 percent over FY21 to 32,339 from 23,789 units. The number of units sold YTD in the past month increased by 8 percent from the 1,28,100 sold during the same period in FY 2021. Last month, Mahindra LCV sales in the 3.5T and MHCV segments increased by 5% compared to March 2021, when 792 units were sold, while YTD sales increased by 51% to 6,435 units.
