She served as President of the Florida Tax Collectors' Association (2019-2020, and twice received the Florida Tax Collectors Association's "Excellence and Innovation in Financial Operations" award. Prior to joining this department, she served six years in the Florida Legislature (2000-2006). + Dorothy Jacks, Property Appraiser for Palm Beach County Elected to this position in 2016 after a distinguished 28-year career in the office, Dorothy Jacks is a Certified Florida Appraiser and Assessment Administration Specialist, holding the highest professional designation in the state and one of the highest internationally. Among her most notable accomplishments is the creation of the award-winning Property Appraiser's Public Access (PAPA) website, the go-to tool for business, industry and government to access property data.
