By: Reform Party of the United States SIDNEY, Mont. - April 5, 2022 - PRLog -- The Reform Party is proud to announce that Reform Party Secretary Shawn Storm has been appointed to the Richland County, Sidney and Fairview City Planning Commission. He is the first new officeholder the Reform Party has had since the Reform Party elected Nicholas Hensley as Chairman of the Reform Party National Committee in 2020. The last time the Reform Party has had a new officeholder was in 2016, when Superior Wisconsin Board of Trustee member Jon Winter joined the Reform Party.
Born in Kentucky, Shawn Storm works professionally as a medical administrator. He moved to Sidney, Montana in December of 2017, and quickly fell in love with the state. As a political moderate, he watched as the far fringes of the political spectrum took over the Democratic and Republican Parties. After searching for some time, he found that the moderates in the Reform Party of the United States echoed his centrist ideals. He joined the party in late 2019. "I think of issues along the lines of returning to a system of individual responsibilities balanced against social responsibilities," The Richland County, Sidney and Fairview City Planning Commission is the zoning board for Richland County, the town of Sidney and Fairview City. For the past two years, five of the board's seats have been empty. With five seats empty, the board could not gain quorum for legal meeting. This has caused a backlog of work, with the biggest issue being a lack of residentially zoned land compared to land zoned for commercial. These zoning issues and backlogged work have severely hampered county and municipal growth in many ways, and Shawn Storm stands ready to square his shoulder once again. The Reform Party is a moderate, centrist party founded in 1996 by the supporters of Ross Perot. The Reform Party advocates for a moderate platform centered around common sense, moderate solutions for today's political issues. It is funded by small donors and has never taken money from political action committees (PACs). It is possible to find out more about the Reform Party, or donate a small amount, by visiting www.reformparty.org. The Reform Party is always looking for volunteers and candidates like Shawn Storm.
