PORTLAND, Ore. - March 29, 2022 - PRLog -- On March 30th, The Dialogue Company will host The Ally Conversation Toolkit Virtual Workshop (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ally-conversation-toolkit-workshop-spring-2022-tickets-276946011977?aff=WebBanner) beginning with a keynote address at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. PT, followed by a two-day workshop on April 9th and 10th. This online class will teach techniques for creating meaningful communication with people of opposing views concerning race, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

"We can strengthen our democracy and our sense of civic connectivity, but we have to learn to talk to each other better," ~ Dr. David Campt.

Based on cognitive research and best-practice communication methodology, these online workshops will empower participants to confront everyday racism within families, neighborhoods, and the workplace.

An Introduction to the Ally Conversation Toolkit, on April 9th, takes place from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. PT and is for anyone who wants to improve their ability to be an effective ally. Participants will learn techniques that can be used in difficult discussions with racism deniers. This course covers how to approach the subjects of equity and inclusion and provides training for responses to a variety of circumstances. It will also give an introduction to the Dialogue Company's R.A.C.E. Method (https://thedialoguecompany.com/product/the-race-method-10...), a class that provides participants with a certificate of completion that can be submitted for 6 CEUs with the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

On April 10th, Going Deeper, takes place from 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. PT. This is for anyone wanting to hone their diplomatic skills in discussion and clarify their role as an ally. Participants will have the opportunity to practice engaging in difficult conversations and learn how identifying as an ally impacts the effectiveness of being an ally.

The Ally Conversation Toolkit Virtual Workshop is open to anyone but can serve as a team-building, professional development, and continuing education opportunity. Tickets (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ally-conversation-toolkit-wo...) are on sale now.
