PAWTUCKET, R.I. - March 22, 2022 - PRLog -- In her work as a counselor, author Jo-Ann Petrucci Andrews has seen a sudden rise in COVID-related anxiety among the children she serves. Missing school, remote learning, isolation, and the abrupt changes to children's routines have all contributed to this growing problem. So with her new book Ryan's New Word, Andrews addresses these trends head-on with an insightful and engaging story children can both relate to and understand.

Written for kids and parents alike, the book encourages children to communicate and express their feelings. And in the end, it offers hope and confidence that kids and their families can get through it together.

Jo-Ann Petrucci Andrews provides counseling for children, adults, adolescents, couples and families, caring for a wide range of behavioral, emotional, cognitive, biological, social, parenting, and family issues. She works with issues associated with anger management, adoption, foster care, autism spectrum disorders, bereavement, developmental disabilities, divorce & co-parenting, and mood disorders. She is a certified mental health integrated medicine provider (CMHIMP) and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with offices in Maine and Rhode Island.

Jo-Ann has worked for a variety of nonprofit community-based programs providing treatment for families and is committed to family, school, and community engagement. She is a principle at Miracle Books, Inc. and Jennies' Legacy of Love along with her brother and sisters.

Jo-Ann holds a Doctorate Degree in educational leadership from Johnson and Wales University and has an EBD in the PhD clinical counseling program from Capella University, in Minneapolis.
