Portabl wins the regional round of the global Zurich Innovation Championship for Australia

Zurich's Innovation Championship sees companies worldwide attempt to solve its four challenges – insurance reimagined, simplicity, prevention & migration, and sustainability. With entries doubled in number since last year, the innovation competition has seen some fantastic entrepreneurs pitching to win their place in the global finals to reach the intensive Accelerator Phase.

Focussing on the challenge of reimagining insurance, Portabl has won the local round for Australia with their FRISC (freelancer risk) underwriting and scoring technology and easy-to-use platform delivering support to freelancers. Portabl aims to help independent workers with their proprietary system of Connection, Protection, and Growth - connecting independents to peers and trusted providers, protecting them and their families with good insurances, and passionately helping them to grow their business-of-one.
