Delf Coldwear Solutions Gains UK and EU Certifications

LONDON - March 18, 2022 - PRLog -- The 'Cocoon' clothing line manufactured by the UK-based cold store clothing provider Delf Freezer Wear Ltd. has successfully passed EN ISO 13688:2013* certification for personal protective clothing. The line is also certified as consistent with EN 342:2017, the standard for cold temperature protective clothing. BTTG and Shirley (which is itself a subsidiary of BTTG) conducted the testing and certification, and have issued certificates for these standards for use in both the UK and EU, respectively.

UK and EU Compliance for Workplace Protection In Cold Environments

By achieving these certifications, Delf's Cocoon line shows compliance with the UK and European standards for workplace protection in cold environments, which is particularly relevant for those working in cold storage areas. Prolonged exposure to below freezing temperatures in storage environments can lead to serious consequences for workers' safety; the extreme conditions of many cold storage areas can lead to serious health concerns, such as frost nip and hypothermia, without proper protection and precautions.
