"I wanted to create a site that explores unconventional black history; history that anyone will find interesting; Taylor wrote and designed the site after doing extensive research. He has amassed a large personal library and is now an independent historian on the topic. Many of his significant sources have come from Stanford University's Green Library, an institution that contains only authenticated scholarly works of importance. He accessed the library's collection and numerous other notable resources online. The website has sections on the first settlers of ancient Greece, Scotland and the British Isles; black Spartans and knights; black Germanic tribes and royalty, among other categories. It also includes citation pages that list more than two hundred research references. "Some of the information is starling," Taylor says. "I expect some disbelief; but I suggest everyone read the information with an open mind and do their own research using my sources or finding their own." You can visit the site at www.blackishistory.com. Taylor plans to continue working toward his undergrad degree in history. He wants to be a teacher. End
