Elrond's request to purchase Twispay has been approved by National Bank of Romania

BUCHAREST, Romania - March 11, 2022 - PRLog -- According to lcn.today, Elrond Network, a Romanian blockchain and cryptocurrency company, said LCN on Thursday that it has received permission from the National Bank of Romania (BNR) to acquire Capital Financial Services SA, an electronic money institution known as Twispay.

Twispay is a financial institution that is authorized to provide payment services and to issue electronic money in accordance with applicable legislation and the National Bank of Romania's approval. Twispay holds a Visa Principal Member (Visa Card Issuing License) as well as a Mastercard Principal Member (MasterCard Card Issuance and Card Acceptance).

Electronic money is a digital substitute for cash that is designed to automate financial transactions such as payments and e-commerce. Elrond seeks to widen and accelerate the usage of this already regulated and commonly utilized transfer mechanism by augmenting it with blockchain technology, which will bring a transformation in speed, scalability, and low cost.
