WASHINGTON - March 8, 2022 - PRLog -- Ecofeminist Ineza Umuhoza Grace, founder of The Green Protector, says it is going to take the inclusion of youth and women to truly protect the environment and have climate justice for all. In the latest episode of The PYD Lab, we dive into the challenges young leaders of color confront when growing their organizations, while trying to avoid the trappings of tokenism.

Her journey as an environmentalist dates back to her days in secondary school when she first learned about the impact of climate change on the world. Since then, the environmental engineer and self-described ecofeminist has dedicated her career to bettering her community.

"I will be able to look in my cousin's eyes — because they are younger than me — and will be able to tell them that I did my best with the resources that I [received]. I am a voice for so many people who do not have the space that I have, so I tend to do whatever I can when I can," Ineza says.

Plus, learn more about Ineza's organization, The Green Protector, and how it is contributing to Rwanda's sustainable development and inspiring the next generation of climate justice warriors. We also recommend three positive youth development resources you will not want to miss — The Global LEAD Toolkit, the webinar, "How Young People Can Lead Climate Change Action," and the Climate Change Starter Kit.
