Community Relations Director Announcement - Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care

DENVER - March 8, 2022 - PRLog -- Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care, a community-based organization, is proud to announce the promotion of Melissa Heideman to Community Relations Director. Heideman began working with Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care as a Community Relations Representative, January 2020 and was promoted to the Community Relations Manager role, December 2020. As the Community Relations Director, she will assist in leading the Denver office's dedicated community relations team.

Jennifer Forrester, Executive Director said, "We are thrilled Melissa has accepted the Community Relations Director position for the south Denver metro area. Melissa is a dedicated healthcare professional who serves with her heart. Her work ethic, professionalism, and background in training will serve our organization and our mission well as we move forward in 2022."

The Community Relations Director (CRD) works with Community Relations Representatives (CRRs) to identify and develop a network of potential referral sources. Heideman will apply her considerable marketing/sales background to establish and maintain relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities while educating them on palliative and hospice care. Heideman's role includes providing quality information to the patient Interdisciplinary Care Teams (IDT). Heideman's experience consists of more than twenty years in medical and pharmaceutical sales. She holds a Master of Arts in Applied Communication and a Certification in Corporate Training from the University of Denver.
