CT Based Non-Profit Raising Funds for War in Ukraine

HARTFORD, Conn. - March 1, 2022 - PRLog -- Connecticut-based non-profit, Maidan United invites you to attend a fundraising event to benefit those impacted by the war in Ukraine.

Maidan United was founded in 2014 when Russia invaded Ukraine. Since 2014, we've raised over $500,000 USD in donations and medical equipment. All donations have gone toward helping civilians impacted by Russia's attacks on Ukraine.

"When something like this happens it is a rallying cry to help our brothers and sisters impacted in Ukraine. Within hours of Putin's first strike, we began our fundraising efforts. I'm proud that we've already raised $20,000 USD of our $100,000 USD goal. But, you can see that we have a long way to go," said Sofia Dumansky, President and Co-Founder of Maidan United.

"We work with local contacts and organizations in and around Ukraine to get them access to medical equipment and supplies. Right now we are fielding requests from hospitals and other volunteer organizations that are expressing urgent needs for tourniquets, blood clotting powder, and bags for blood donations. There are people in Ukraine willing to donate blood to their wounded friends and family but cannot do so due to the lack of bags to store the blood," she continued.

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, we invite you to a fundraiser at the home of Tomas Nenortas, 70 N. Beacon Street, Hartford, CT 06105. The event will run from 3p-9p and be sponsored in part by Quiver Spirits.
