CANTIL, Calif. - Feb. 28, 2022 - PRLog -- TVS Music Guild, owner of 56 legacy record labels, is returning it's Sussex, Hot Wax, Gryphon, and Skye labels to independent distribution after almost a decade with SONY. The labels were acquired by TVS in the 1980's upon the dissolution of the Buddah / KamaSutra label group. They had been Associated Labels of Buddah that were subsequently acquired by Buddah when they defaulted on payments due Buddah.

TVS will begin with 'Best Of' albums on each label, with digital, CD, and LP versions to be released in April. The songs will also play on the TVS Radio Network, which is transmitted via iHeartRadio's Spreaker service.

In addition to returning the 56 legacy labels via independent distribution, TVS has launched the Capehart Music Treasury to release the most popular songs of the 20th Century in original productions in the easy listening, instrumental format.

TVS has been a pioneer in the digital distribution of music, having been one of the earliest clients of the seminal E Music company. EMusic later sold to Orchard Enterprises, who subsequently sold to SONY. In the1990's, TVS produced the 30th Anniversary of the Whisky A Go Go in association with Rolling Stone Magazine as the first worldwide internet music TV streaming program.

TVS controls a music catalog of 15,000 tracks and produces 2,000 new tracks yearly from its studios in Greater Los Angeles, Reno, and Las Vegas.  TVS was formed in 1958 as a radio network and expanded to television in 1960. In 1987, TVS began acquiring legacy music labels and producing original music productions.
