About the Author

Eugene Tossany resides in Loudoun County with her Down Syndrome daughter and stubborn Shih Tzu. She supports the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia (DSANV) initiatives and has donated autographed books to former down syndrome Miss USA Minnesota pageant contestant, Mikayla Holmgren. Eugene also contributes literary articles and essays to local magazine publications, such as Tysons Premier.

On World Down Syndrome Day, Eugene will read excerpts from her book, The Down Syndrome Superhero 2, at Ridgetop Coffee and Tea, in Sterling, VA. A portion of all proceeds (5%) from World Down Syndrome Day sales will go to DSANV for charitable efforts. From 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EST), Eugene will stream the book reading on her Instagram page and encourage a question-and-answer session from her teenage/sci-fi audience.
