Benjamin J. Reisman | Recipe for Survival

BRUSSELS - Feb. 23, 2022 - PRLog -- Benjamin Reisman grew up in Wembley in Northwest London. He was educated at a Jewish Primary school followed by an English Public school. At eighteen he left the UK for a three year stint on Kibbutz, Yeshiva and in the IDF. He returned to London and studied Polymer Engineering at University, and then emigrated to Israel. He married Pnina, moved to a Settlement in Samaria, had four kids and over the last twenty years has driven a million kilometres in a variety of different vehicles.

Napoleon Bonaparte supposedly claimed that "An army marches on its stomach". The history of field rations goes back a long way. The Roman army typically fed their soldiers dried bread, salted meat, olive oil and wine. American soldiers in the 20th century survived on C, D and K rations. In the Israel Defense Forces, tin cans and a loaf of bread are still pretty much the norm. This book contains 50 recipes using ONLY the ingredients found in the standard IDF field ration box. If you are a survivalist, or enjoy camping, this might just be the book for you.
