First Coast Cultural Center summer camps announced in Northeast Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Feb. 22, 2022 - PRLog -- First Coast Cultural Center is launching its summer camp season with new programs to support the nonprofit including youth and adult classes for novice and professional students to enhance their creative processes.

Summer classes and programs will feature renowned fine artists, musicians, and speakers to include the theme, Explore Your First Coast: The History and Culture that makes us unique. Students will learn more about the First Coast region while creating art and other projects to celebrate what makes our area unique, from native cultures to historic architecture to modern tourism. Classes and programs are held at 3972 3rd St. S. in Jacksonville Beach, Fla. and at CareConnect+, 351 Town Plaza Ave. in Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, Fla.

First Coast Cultural Center is offering a new camp schedule for children from four-years-of-age until nine-years-of-age at First Coast Cultural Center in Jacksonville Beach beginning on Tuesday, May 31 until Friday, August 12. Camp runs from 9 am until 2pm.  Costs run from $180 to $225 for each non-member and from $170 to $210 for each member.

The Nocatee Drama Camp with Sheri Lahris will be held on Mondays and Fridays during June and July, with 15 classes and a final theatre performance on Friday evening, July 29. Each camp class will be held from 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Classes will be held at Flagler Health, CareConnect+, 351 Town Plaza Ave., Suite 205 in Ponte Vedra. Cost is $450 for each non-member and $420 for each member.

The Cultural Center also offers theatre camps for children eight-years-old until 17-years-old at the Alhambra Theatre Camp from Monday, June 27 until Friday, July 8, and a final musical theatre performance on the evening of Monday, July 11. Snacks and refreshments will be provided and participants must bring their own lunch. The Alhambra Theatre Camp will be held at 12000 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville. Each camp sessions will be held from 9 am until 2 pm and cost is $560 for each non-member and $510 for each member.

First Coast Cultural Center hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, with after hour appointments available.
