The city of Cincinnati had about 3000 miles of routes for the famous underground railroad system. In 1841, there was a state law passed in Ohio that outlawed any forced servitude within its border. But before that year, the city of Cincinnati was a harbor for the continuation of forced labor. According to the Library of Medicine there are now immigrants migrating to Cincinnati from Senegal, and Mauritania. On August 3, 2004, the $110 million Underground Railroad Museum had its grand opening. The funds for the freedom center project were federally, and private sector sources. Its mission is to promote freedom around the globe, and to educate the masses on the principles of a free mind. As of 2022, companies are now willing to hire felons. According to the Innocence Project there were 33 prisoners exonerated so far in Ohio, and many more are on the way. There are 42.25% African Americans that reside in the city of Cincinnati, says World Population Review. So Cincinnati!
