BOSTON - Feb. 14, 2022 - PRLog -- This Valentine's Day, Jay Alan shares "Lovesick ft. Alexa Wilhelm," the third and final single ahead of his highly-anticipated debut EP, Play Pretend. The high-energy duet celebrates the persistence of love and friendship despite being physically apart during the pandemic, and pinpoints what it feels like when you can't stop missing someone. The track was a result of an entirely remote collaboration with fellow Berklee students Alexa Wilhelm and Travis Heidelman after campus shut down, and speaks to the determination of musicians in coming together to find new ways to create.

"'Lovesick' was conceived because my boyfriend went away on a trip. I lived with him through the pandemic and was with him 24/7, so even a few days on my own felt very lonely. I wrote the chorus to send as a little 'I love you and miss you' voice memo, but the song just bloomed after that." — Jay Alan

"'Lovesick' encapsulates the spark, excitement, and hesitation felt at the beginning of a new relationship. That's a really special feeling to capture, especially with a song I feel many people can relate to." — Alexa Wilhelm
