Fabian Williams, Artist and Activist, honors Kaepernick with LA Mural

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 12, 2022 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA- "Occasional Superstar", Fabian Williams, is a visual and performance artist based in Atlanta who is most known for his colorful, symbolism-filled murals depicting black culture and civil rights heroes in modern and futuristic settings. Williams is also known for his work depicting the seemingly state-sanctioned violence perpetrated against black men.This Atlanta art activist brings his murals to the metaverse. Fabian Williams is one of the trailblazers using art for activism.

Fabian Williams "Occasional Superstar", of Atlanta, Georgia,  left corporate America behind to focus on creating murals with social and political messages. After his initial Colin Kaepernick painting was defaced, he responded with #kaeperbowl, which was centered around Superbowl 53 in Atlanta and sparked a global media frenzy.  Mr. Williams continued to create murals with social and political messages.

In response Mr. Williams will issue one-hundred (100)  limited edition mints commemorating the  anniversary of the mural of  honoring Colin Kaepernick in Atlanta, now it will live in the metaverse.  This mural was created and destroyed in Atlanta and resurrected in Los Angeles, California.

Fabian Williams Occasional Superstar: Resurrection Collection NFT Access Pass holders will get access to Fabian's upcoming gallery release set to happen at Superbowl, February 13, 2022. Exclusive admission to viewing the evolution of art will take place on February 13th.

Before the existence of NFTs (Non-fungible Tokens), an artist had to always have fear of their work being destroyed and their message being silenced. NFTs in the metaverse now allows you to have an immutable asset, meaning that the art lives forever.

This collection is named The Resurrection because that which was torn down is being brought back to life.  The mural was dismantled in Atlanta in its physical form but now lives forever in the metaverse.
