SteadFastLove Spreads Christmas Cheer with Its Weave4Love Initiative

IKORODU, Nigeria - Feb. 5, 2022 - PRLog -- SteadFastLove Foundation an NGO founded by Mrs Yewande Olusore had a first of its kind 3 day outreach in Nigeria for girls in underserved communities. The initiative, tagged Weave4Love, took love to girls in selected locations of Lagos and Abuja, offering them free hair styles of their choice.
Speaking about the initiative, Mrs Olusore said; "Every Girl longs to have a beautiful hairstyle that will make her stand out from the crowd and look different from her peers at festive seasons. Some Girls do not have this privilege due to financial constraints but with the SteadFastLove Foundation's Weave4Love initiative, girls in underserved communities do not have to worry about having unkempt hair for Christmas." The Weave4Love initiative kicked off on the 18th of December and ran till the 20th at Ilaje, Bariga Lagos, Dape Life Camp Extension, Abuja and Imota Lagos. Volunteers, dressed in customised weave4love t-shirts eagerly attended to the needs of the girls with love and finesse. With lots of food and drinks, courtesy Shedams Fitness, and feel good music softly playing in the background, the atmosphere was welcoming, festive and joyful.
On the first day of the event, 27 girls had their hair beautifully made and set for Christmas, while on the 19th of December, 48 girls benefited from the initiative.
On the 20th of December, 30 girls had the opportunity to have their hair made for Christmas. At the end of the initiative, a total of 105 girls had benefitted from the SteadFastLove Foundation's gift to humanity.
When asked if the initiative will make a comeback at future festive seasons, Mrs Olusore said; "Weave4love is a vision from God and it has come to stay by the grace of God, for where God guides, he provides. Every girl, especially those in these types of communities, deserves to feel happy and special regardless of the season. If we can make that happen at festive seasons, we will be more than happy to keep it going for as long as it takes."
The initiative had the support of brands who donated products to make the programme a success and further make the girls have a happy end of the year celebration.
