TURTOLA, Virgin Islands, British - Feb. 3, 2022 - PRLog -- BLMeta.com (PancakeSwap:
In a joint celebration of Black History Month and Black Future Month as well as the global launch of BLMeta NFT Marketplace on Monday, February 7th 2022, BLMeta is launching a limited edition NFT collection of key black influencers, freedom fighters, artists, athletes and activists that have helped shape this movement.
Black History Month, which started in 1915, is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history.
Also known as African American History Month, the event was the brainchild of noted historian, Dr. Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans.
Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history.
The Black History Month 2022 theme, 'Black Health and Wellness,' explores the legacy of not only Black scholars and medical practitioners in western medicine, but also other ways of health assistance such as birth workers, doulas (trained companions), midwives, naturopaths, and herbalists throughout the African diaspora.
The 2022 theme considers activities, rituals and initiatives that Black communities have done to be well.
BLMeta.com is revolutionizing accessibility to the rapidly expanding NFT industry by linking the gap between best-in-class Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 technology and the billions of people entering the digital age around the globe.
"Black History Month is a celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. and worldwide history. 2022 celebrates Black Health and Wellness in a time where that couldn't hold more meaning with the Covid 19 pandemic still plaguing the world. Our limited edition #BHM and #BFM NFT collection will focus on outstanding contributions and individuals that made real world positive change."
The BLMeta NFT Marketplace was launched with the purpose of creating an inclusive digital environment for the beneficial exposure and preservation of Black culture and art in the Metaverse. Artists will be able to create NFTs free of cost as fees are paid by the buyer. Buyers and sellers will transact on the marketplace using a BEP-20 utility token, BLM.
