Follow on Google News | The Way to Happiness Association Tampa Bay Invites All to Celebrate Set a Good Example DayWith people looking for inspiration in daily life - start with your self and in the words of Ghandi, be the change you wish to see in the world.
By: Way to Happiness Association Tampa Bay "The day was established by The Way to Happiness International," Set a Good Example is the sixth precept of the twenty-one precepts in The Way to Happiness, a non-religious moral guide based on common sense. Written by humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard in 1981, the introduction to the work includes the following: "You are important to other people. You are listened to. You can influence others." "The idea that anyone can have a positive impact on those around them is an ancient idea – stretching back to at least 2,500 BCE in Egypt," said Ms. Fabemoli. "We need to fight against disrespect and intolerance. It is our hope that our friends and neighbors will take these words from The Way to Happiness to heart and strive to respect others, demonstrate positive values and recognize those whose good example has inspired others." "This precept is having an impact all over the world," said Ms. Fabemoli, "and you can learn more by visiting our center here in Clearwater." The association's Tampa Bay chapter is housed at The Way to Happiness Center at 33 N. Fort Harrison in downtown Clearwater. The Center is open from 10:30am – 1pm and 2 – 6pm daily Monday through Friday and from 2 – 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. No appointment is needed.
