Cedar Point Capital Partners Launches to Offer Holistic Capital Management

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Feb. 2, 2022 - PRLog -- Backed by three seasoned financial professionals, Cedar Point Capital Partners has launched in Eastern Iowa, and is now offering clients across the country access to fee-only, relationship-based financial life planning services.

Cedar Point Capital Partners consists of partners David Ernst, Trent Von Ahsen and Bridget Davis, who collectively bring nearly 50 years of financial planning experience to the new firm, based in downtown Cedar Rapids.

The firm is focused on providing rigorous, evidence-based investment and portfolio advisement to its clients; advanced financial planning technologies; and holistic "capital management" that encompasses not only financial assets, but also each client's social and human capital. All three of Cedar Point's partners are accredited investment fiduciaries, meaning they are committed to working solely in their clients' best interests.

"We've watched the financial services industry change over the years, and frankly didn't care for the lack of transparency still happening today," says Partner David Ernst. "We saw an opportunity to build deeper partnerships with our clients that consider their whole life, not just their financial portfolio, so we decided to launch our own firm. Cedar Point Capital Partners' founding partners all hail from the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Corridor region, and have become recognized community leaders. Mr. Ernst was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, and has served as a high school football coach at Kennedy High School for more than 30 years. Mr. Von Ahsen and Ms. Davis were both raised on farms in rural Williamsburg before attending schools in the region. Mr. Von Ahsen was named a Forty Under 40 honoree in 2020 by the Corridor Business Journal, a regional business newspaper.
