SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Jan. 25, 2022 - PRLog -- With temperatures dropping and schedules shifting there is an easy way to interact with federal, state and county representatives this upcoming month. The Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce brings three free informative sessions right to your screen beginning Thursday, February 3 featuring the New Jersey Shield Program. New Jersey Shield is a collaborative effort between the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) and the New Jersey Regional Operations and Intelligence Center (ROIC).  The program begins 10am and will be presented by Jesse Hartnett, Analysts of the Risk Management Bureau of NJ Office of Homeland Security & Preparedness.   NJ Shield is a free service that serves as a centralized location for members to obtain counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness information and resources. The chamber recognizes the importance of NJ Shield motto "Working Together to Build a Prepared and Resilient New Jersey". It invites local private- or public-sector manager tasked with duties related to their organization's security, emergency management, and business continuity.

Happening Thursday, February 24 at 10am join Timothy Hart,  Division Director of Ocean County Culture & Heritage for the first Non Profit Forum of the year. Local organizations are invited to learn about a new pilot "Special Funding Initiative" offered by Ocean County that will in clue various professional development resources. Question and Answer session to discuss how it may benefit local groups.

Monday, February 28 at 4pm, the Southern Ocean Chamber joins Cape May County and Greater Atlantic City Chambers of Commerce for a joint webinar discussing the National Flood Insurance Reauthorization Act with information provided by Joseph Braiuca, Legislative Aide of Senator Menendez. This program will provide a understanding of the changes.
