Eta Pi Chapter The launch will begin with a Legacy Park Rally, where members of the community will celebrate the Ambrose-Ward Mansion and commemorate the people, places, and legacies that continue to inspire our rich local history. Residents, shareholders, and stakeholders are invited to attend the Rally which begins at noon. Following the Rally attendees will enjoy a Mansion Marketplace with 20+ curated vendors, along with exhibits and information on the upcoming Legacy Park Project. The event will take place Saturday February 19 from 12:00-6:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm- 6:00pm. "Anyone who has ever traveled down South Harrison Street has noticed this beautiful property. We want to give the community an opportunity to be a part of this magnificent space up close and personal as we create Legacy Park at the Ambrose-Ward Mansion. We encourage the community to come out and celebrate themselves as well as the history and future of the Ambrose-Ward Mansion.", says Keith Pressey of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Eta Pi Chapter. As part of the fundraising effort, attendees and contributors will be able to purchase engraved brick pavers that pay tribute to past and present legacy makers. Commissioned by the Vanderbilt Family, the Ambrose-Ward Mansion was built in 1889 and was added to the National Registrar of Historic Places on September 20th, 1982.
