Follow on Google News | ![]() Goodwill with the City of Fort Myers host a community-wide job fair January 27thBy: Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida "Our objectives for January 27th career fair are: to see community members (including Dunbar community) gain employment in their desired field, assist local business partners in landing quality employees and in gaining greater exposure in SWFL, states Tim Goodman, Goodwill SWFL Employer Relations Specialist. "Also, to increase community awareness of such resources as: some local educational institutions, Lee Tran, Lee Co. Library System, United Way, CareerSource, and Vocational Rehabilitation." The event is sponsored by the City of Fort Myers. Participants are asked to dress professionally and bring resumes. Those needing help with resume writing or interviewing skills, can contact a Goodwill SWFL Community Resource Center (CRC) prior to the event for assistance. Goodwill's CRCs offer employment services and free computer skills training. A list of locations are online at https://www.goodwillswfl.org/ Goodwill Southwest Florida is a non-profit organization that utilizes the selling of donated goods to employ more than 800 individuals in Southwest Florida. Through community philanthropy, grants and sponsorships, they are able to support over 24,000 individuals a year as they work towards independence through Goodwill's disability services, employment training and support, housing, and small business development.
