Wordeee Announces Publication of Tara's Family Secrets by Dr. Cherrell Shelley-Robinson
Jamaican Author Touches on Universal Themes for Young Adult Audiences Worldwide
Author Dr. Cherrell Shelley-Robinson, a life-long educator and librarian, has written several books, many scholarly articles, served as judge on book awards committees, conducted workshops on writing for children, and is a passionate advocate of indigenous literature for Caribbean young people.

About the Author:
Born in the garden parish of St. Ann, Jamaica, West Indies, Dr. Cherrell Shelley-Robinson obtained a bachelor's degree at the University of the West Indies, Mona, a masters degree from Rutgers University, USA, and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, Canada in Library and Information Science. She worked in public and school libraries for a number of years before becoming a lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Studies until her retirement. For seven years, she single-handedly produced Scribbles, a magazine for Caribbean children. Dr. Shelley-Robinson has been recognized with many awards including the Dorothy Collings Award for Outstanding Performance in the Diploma of Library Studies: the Institute of Jamaica Musgrave Bronze Medal for lifetime contribution to Librarianship;
