Financial Education that Stands-in-the-Gap is Here!

ATLANTA - Feb. 1, 2022 - PRLog -- J. Hart Productions, LLC (dba) Pigs Learn About Money (based in Atlanta, GA) is celebrating Black History Month and the launching of its newest re-created classic folklore, The Three Lil' Pigs Learn About Money, providing a multi-media financial-education platform for young learners: K-5 and parents in lower income school districts.

The statistics shared on page 7 of the 2020 Survey of the States ignited his passion even more revealing that there are large gaps between schools educating higher and lower income students:

• In schools in which at least 75% of students were eligible for free and reduced lunch (FRL)*, only 3.9% of students were required to take a one-semester personal finance course.
• In schools in which less than 25% of students were FRL eligible, students were nearly three times as likely to be required to take a one-semester personal finance course at 10.5%.

So far the most essential financial resource provided by the author has been his cleverly motivating children's book, The Three Lil' Pigs Learn About Money. Inked into the pages of this children's classic are 8 keywords (coins, dollar-bills, money, save, spend, give, faith, and wisdom) which connect the brand's website and growing YouTube channel.

Educators who have reviewed the book feel it can be integrated into a math curriculum. Even the Deputy Director of Gwinnett County's Department of Family and Child Services (DFCS), Shirley St. Hilaire shared that she is not only excited, but happy for what Hart has produced. The characters, the storyline, and the lessons are just the thing to teach elementary aged children about monetary basics. "If America wants to know how I plan on increasing financial literacy, my answer is simple. One house at a time… starting with mine," Hart concluded.
