Olivia Baylor, LCPC, Awarded National Bariatric Board Certification

CATONSVILLE, Md. - Jan. 7, 2022 - PRLog -- Olivia Baylor, LCPC, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, from Catonsville, Maryland, has been awarded National Board Certification by the American Association of Bariatric Counselors (AABC). After completing a specialized fellowship training and education program in bariatric science she was recently credentialed as a Board-Certified Bariatric Counselor (CBC).

Olivia completed her graduate mental health therapy training and education at Capella University and earned a Master of Science degree. In addition, her certifications include; Couples and Family Systems, Board Certified-TeleMental Health (BC-TMH), Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Individual (CCTSI), and has the distinction of being certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).

Olivia is a private practitioner and owner of Life Revisions Counseling, LLC. She specializes in gender identification and culturally sensitive comprehensive counseling for LGBTQ+ and Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC).  Like many therapists she has seen a recent increase in clients seeking assistance with getting bariatric surgery and realized the need for Bariatric Science training and certification.

Recognizing the need for specialized training in Bariatric Science led to her receiving a fellowship from AABC. Because of her unique practice and academic and professional accomplishments, AABC awarded her an academic scholarship.  Her professional stature and clinical experience will help fulfill the AABC global mission of providing best practices in the care, treatment and prevention of obesity and related disorders.
