About the Author
Dawn Casey is a children's book author whose work is inspired by a deep love of nature, a respect for the truth and power of tales of old, and a delight in the wonder of the world. Dawn's books have won the Kirkus Star, the Aesop Accolade from the American Folklore Society, and the Gold Nautilus Award. She is the author of The Barefoot Book of Earth Tales, A Lullaby for Little One, and Babushka (with Amanda Hall). Dawn lives with her husband and two daughters in Lewes, England.

Amanda Hall is an award-winning illustrator of over two dozen books. She is renowned for her wonderfully decorative and colorful children's books both in America and Great Britain, with co-editions in 24 other countries and sales of over 600,000 copies worldwide.
